To help you get planted in this homegrown project, this page includes onboarding packets, trainings, and checklists. Our goal is to support you and get you connected to available resources so that you blossom as a vendor. Feel free to reach out with any questions and welcome to Sprout!

Vendor Packet​

This packet serves as an orientation to Sprout, detailing design guidelines, marketing support, payment expectations, etc.

Business License Application

To officially sell items in a physical space in Berwyn, you will need to fill out and submit the Business License Application. This document, along with a copy of your driver’s license (front and back) and a $25 fee, are to be submitted to Homegrown@berwyn.net or left in the lockbox at Sprout. The $25 fee can be cash or check (made payable to the Berwyn Development Corporation).

Vendor License Agreement (signature page)

After reviewing the Vendor Packet, you are asked to sign the Vendor Agreement, indicating that you will adhere to the set expectations of Sprout. Once signed, this document is to be submitted via email to Homegrown@berwyn.net or left in the lockbox at Sprout.

Design Worksheet/Map of Sprout

Following the guidelines set in the Vendor Packet, you are encouraged to be creative and set up your booth to best display your products and promote your brand identity. A sketch of your design must be submitted to Homegrown@berwyn.net BEFORE you start working on your space.

Inventory Fixture Sheet

In partnership with Yorktown Center, the BDC has a limited supply of display fixtures, hooks, and tables available for your use. Depending on availability, you are able to sign out fixtures to be used in your space for the duration of your time at Sprout. These items must be left at Sprout if/when you leave.

POS (Check Out) Set-Up

Sprout leadership will get you access to SimpleConsign, the POS system for Sprout. You will be asked to confirm your email, enter your inventory, and request barcodes for every item. To learn more about the system:

Scheduling Link

As a vendor, you are expected to volunteer for three 5-hour shifts at Sprout. To best accommodate your current schedule, you are asked to submit this form, indicating your typical availability:

Cashier Handbook

While at Sprout, you are asked to talk to customers, check out shoppers, and keep the store maintained/cleaned. This document serves as the guide for best practices, or manual, for all vendors.

One-on-One Advising Sessions

Live In-Person Trainings 

Expect each training to last approximately one hour. Best of all, the sessions are free. These training sessions are meant to be an overview of specific roles that employees occupy.

12pm Eastern will have the following rotation:

  • Mondays + Thursdays will be Cashier Training

  • Tuesdays + Fridays will be Manager Training

2pm Eastern will have the following rotation:

  • Tuesdays + Fridays will be Cashier Training

  • Mondays + Thursdays will be Manager Training
